Sport Specific And Game Like Jump Training | How To Increase Vertical Jump For Sports
What's up guys! Today's video is sport specific and game like jump training. It's how to increase vertical jump for sports in a way that's game like and will actually transfer over to the sport you play. Jump training and plyometrics are critical for all athletes, if for nothing else, because of the landing mechanics, injury prevention, structural tissue strengthening, and learning deceleration. However, all athletes should be doing jump training and plyos for their workouts. Today we wanted to give you the first start of a jump training session, so no strength training, this is just the plyometric session of the jump training workout. We start off with some mobility for jump training, and then get into low level plyos for jump training. We move into more jump training exercises that work on deceleration, before moving into more advanced exercises. We finish it off with sport specific and game like jump training where you'll have to do a box jump coming off a shuffle or different angled jump. We end with a reactive shuffle to box jump. This type of training is very important. In sports, nothing is predetermined, so we need to be ready for anything at any time. We need to be able to jump without warning, so we must train that way!!
