Urbek City Builder returns to the channel and this time we're playing with the fancy new Defend The City DLC! So it's still the same Urbek, where we build adorable little blocky voxel houses, but also every year we're attacked by a big missile. So that's fun.

Worry not though, because to defend against the missiles we can put down some new anti-missile battery buildings! These have a fairly decent range and shoot down any enemy missiles! Hooray, the city is saved!

For a little while anyway, because over time the enemy upgrade their missiles so they can pass through our tier one anti-missile batteries and blow up bits of our city, which isn't very nice of them at all!

This means we need to upgrade our defences, and that's quite the challenge. We need lots and lots of resources to get them upgraded and of course we have to do all the regular city builder things too, like provide food and power and facilities and suchlike, so we end up frantically juggling our resources!

So can we keep our city intact or do we struggle to defend the city?

In Urbek, you will be able to build a city of your own design! Manage its natural resources, improve the quality of life of the population, and build its neighbourhoods in your own way.
Neighbourhoods
Breathe life into your city by building different neighbourhoods. Do you want a bohemian neighbourhood? Build bars, parks and libraries, but keep a low population density nearby. Do you want a bourgeois neighbourhood? You need parks and luxury shops.

Manage
There is no money in Urbek. Instead, you will have to build everything with your own resources, such as food, coal, or skilled work. There are more than 30 different resources to manage! Manage your natural resources well, so that they do not run out before they can be replaced. How will you choose to produce the energy for your inhabitants and industries?

Educate
Education is fundamental! By producing enough qualified work and scientific work, you will be able to build more advanced buildings.

Observe
Move around at street level in order to get a more intimate sense of the city you are creating. See and feel the differences between neighborhoods the way your city’s residents do!
Organic growth
The growth of your city will be organic. Some constructions will appear according to the surrounding conditions. For example, buildings with more than two floors will appear in densely populated areas and with basic services.

When it comes to designing your city, you have a variety of viable options. There are no buildings that are superior to others. Every decision will have its pros and cons. Bourgeois houses consume more food and need resources that cost more to produce, but will improve the quality of life of the residents there. On the other hand, improving the productivity of industries will produce more resources, but will diminish the quality of life for residents living in the area.

Defend the City DLC
Defend your city
Build military facilities to be able to defend against enemy bombings. Increase the range of your defences so you can expand without fear of being destroyed by bombardment.
Incremental bombardment
The attacks will get stronger and stronger and you will need better defences if you don't want to lose parts of your city.
New biome: Mountains
Food is hard to come by in a frozen world. Give it a try! Although the snow will bring new tourism options, such as ski slopes.

Well I think this is a fun demo so far. It is exactly what every fan of roman city builder needs. I played on easy which is actually easy. So I look forward to that part when I play a harder choice next time. The style of the game is typical of any city builder game, which in my mind is perfect then you already sort of know how to play game already.
