One of Lisbon's most famous monuments is the Ponte 25 de Abril suspension bridge.
The Aqueduto das Águas Livres crosses the valley of Alcantara.
Belém Tower, also known as the Tower of Saint Vincent, is a fortress in Lisbon dating from the 16th century.
St. George's Castle, which is built on the hilltop above Lisbon's Baixa neighborhood, is one of the city's most renowned tourist attractions. One of the most distinctive landmarks on the Alfama skyline is the church of Santa Engrácia.
Volcanic lava created the natural swimming pools in Porto Moniz, which are naturally filled with crystal-clear sea water.
Praia Grande is most likely the closest and most easily accessible beach from Sintra.
Cabo do Roca, the westernmost point on continental Europe, is only a 15-minute drive from Praia da Adraga.
The beach in the popular town of Carvoeiro is known as Praia do Carvoeiro.
Prainha, nestled among the cliffs with breathtaking views of Alvor Bay, is the ideal place to unwind.
