FILM DESCRIPTION:
Judd Apatow casts his former real-life roommate Adam Sandler as George Simmons, a comic superstar who learns in the movie's opening scene that he suffers from a rare blood disorder that will likely kill him within a year. This news gives him the impulse to go back out and work on his standup, something he hasn't done in years thanks to the massive success of his movie career. At a club, he meets struggling standup Ira Wright (Seth Rogen), takes a shine to him, and hires the young man both to write jokes and to be his personal assistant. Ira, who's been sleeping on a friend's pull-out couch and working a day job at a deli, enjoys the glimpse into the superstar lifestyle, but soon the protégé discovers how selfish and egocentric his mentor really is. TDD and game creation don't always go hand in hand, but when they do it can make iterating on your game faster with less bugs. Regardless of your experience with TDD, programming or game development there will be something in this talk for you. We'll cover the basics of TDD, discuss the obvious aspects of a game to write tests for, and more involved examples of integration testing.

Examples will all be using Godot/GDScript/GUT (since I'm the author of the latter and that's what it works with), but most of the talk will apply to any testing framework, language or engine.

There is a brand new tool, written using the Godot game engine, that is free and open source for creating pixel art from 3D models. It's called either Godot Pixel Renderer or Godot Pixel Studio right now and it's hosted up on GitHub. It enables you to load animated 3D models and easily render them to sprite animations in a pixel art style, with strict control over palette settings, all with one click. Once exported the resulting sprites can be used in any game engine or tool, Godot is not required.

The nuclear nightmare at Chernobyl in Northern Ukraine, was the worst accident of its kind to have ever happened. It official killed 31 people and left thousands, if not million of people effected from the radiation that poisoned the air. Everyone has probably heard of it, but what people may not know is how 3 men drained thousands of litres of radioactive water from beneath reactor number 4, preventing a steam explosion that would have caused even more radiative material from being pumped out into the air, putting the entire of Europe in danger.
