India - Holy City Varanasi

Varanasi is a holy city of followers of Hinduism and Buddhism. Bathing in the holy waters of Ganges washes away all sins, cremation on the banks of the Ganges River is a dream and goal in the life of Hindus. In nearby Sarnath, the Buddha gave his first sermon, it is one of the holiest places of Buddhists. The Aarti ceremony is a prayer to Lord Shiva and Mother Ganga, fire is offered to the River.
