Ultimate Women - An initiative to increase women participation in sports.

In India, Gender ratios in sports are highly skewed and the female participation in sports is marginal and insufficient. Participation of women in sports leads to not only their empowerment but also allows them to acquire individual competency, team & personality building and health improvement. This would lead to positive consequence for the family as well as the whole society. Sporting activities also help women to reconnect with the power of their own bodies. The various other benefits include, mental well being, independence, peace of mind, increased concentration, fame, discipline, reservations in jobs and educational institutions etc.

Who are we?
We are a community of women that train, compete and grow together through Ultimate Frisbee. Our mission is to achieve equity in sports by increasing accessibility to and visibility of woman players. We have great transformation stories within our community that inspire us to work towards our goal of including more women in sports in India.

What are we seeking?
We are hosting an all India Women's only Ultimate Frisbee tournament in Mumbai on 8th & 9th June. Teams from Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Delhi, Mumbai and other cities will compete in the 2 day tournament. We need monetary support to conduct this event. The money we raise through this will be utilized towards booking the ground/turf, field equipments, On field physio, Medical kit, Water, Glucose, Ice, Snacks (bananas), Awards, Loudspeaker, Grounds men, Banners, Photography, video and marketing expenses, for both the days (8th and 9th).

We’re also seeking long term sponsorships and associations to grow this initiative in India.
