the gdplace was an awesome experience and I had tons of fun during it, but the level that came out of it is the definition of "made to be watched, not to be played"
as always levels that are the least balanced often wind up being the most stress inducing ones despite not being the hardest (this and final; destination were more stressful to complete than even main list extremes lol)
playing this was a purge all the way through, most likely the most gruesome experience I've had with a level
it was a verification race, so I was trying to finish it as fast as possible since other people were making good progress, which probably only ended up making my experience even worse since I was forcing myself to play it
please trust me when I say this, do not play this level, exploring it and learning about its lore is more than enough and way more entertaining
the only remotely hard parts are the wave at 34, the mini ship at 40, and especially the wave at 42 (+ michi's bloodbath part right after that's buffed for some reason), and the random dash orb at 74 that's literally just a coin flip
and that's it, the rest of the level is pretty much free, meaning it gives you all the time in the world to get nervous about the next parts, which weighs more on your mind than a level that would have a harder but more consistent and spread out difficulty
to further reiterate how unbalanced this is, I only ever got past 48% twice, with the first time dying at 75 and the second time beating it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

placement opinion: I'd say at least mid extended list, but the difficulty in those kinds of levels is so wildly specific that it's hard to accurately compare it to anything alike
