Our Extended Play series is tailor made for a band like Imagine Dragons. On the one hand, the pop-rockers' scale and ambition can barely be contained by the stadiums they regularly sell out. For the group behind ubiquitous hits like “Thunder,” “Radioactive,” and “Believer,” success is measured in millions and billions. Such impact can feel impenetrable, but our performance-interview series is all about pulling back the curtain a bit. And on the other hand there’s singer Dan Reynolds. An open book, he’s the band’s primary songwriter, and a fascinating one at that. We saw that up close when we linked up with ID at Conway Studios, where Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, and bassist Ben McKee created their latest album, ‘LOOM,’ under the guidance of producers Mattman & Robin. La ciudad costera de La Serena en Chile no necesariamente es conocida por su escena de música urbana, pero FloyyMenor llegó a cambiar esto rápidamente. La carrera del reggaetonero de 18 años comenzó apenas en el 2023 con “Pa’ la Europa”, canción que le trajo al chileno interés internacional. Pero, nadie pudo predecir el éxito masivo de “GATA ONLY”. The coastal city of La Serena, Chile isn’t necessarily known for its música urbana scene, but FloyyMenor will change that very quickly. K-Pop fans know that Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae are just a couple months away from their second anniversary together. They also know that the group's impact is always growing, largely because a one-two punch of charisma and craft works wonders every time. As their work becomes more popular, the ladies are often reminding journalists that their band motto is "I'm Fearless," and with each new project, they reprove the maxim. Back in 2022, "Sour Grapes" and "Blue Flame" helped them get noticed. And their 'FEARLESS' EP's title track cemented the deal. With pockets of fans around the world, last year's 'UNFORGIVEN' album made even bigger waves, and it arrived with a message. The group has said it's about "standing up to the prejudices and judgements of the world," and spreading the message "of moving forward." No one can counter that idea. The outfit's new 'EASY' EP find them at most convincing. We invited them in to share performance of "Swan Song," "Perfect Night," and the title track. Yes, it was fun.

Tate McRae - exes (Live) | Vevo Extended Play
It's a thrill to watch an artist blossom, to see them fulfill the dream of becoming an adventurous creative whose work impacts a deeply devoted audience. That's why we're tickled to continue our work with Tate McRae. Four years ago we invited the then teen to our DSCVR program, where she delivered engaging performances of "feel like shit" and "happy face." A couple years later she was back for a heart-rending piano-and-voice version of "she's all i wanna be," whose intimacy bordered on frightening. Along the way her articulation grew, her perspectives broadened, and the feels she put front and center became more powerful. YouTube channel, TikTok feed, the eloquence of each track on 'i used to think i could fly' - they all nudged her forward and deepened her relationship with her ever-grown cadre of fans. When 'THINK LATER' hit at the end of '23, it was obviously time to capture McRae in action again. Our Extended Play team worked with Tate to craft performances in settings that enhance her music and amplify her vision. The Calgary native is now an LA local, and "exes" unfolds in a shadowy SoCal bedroom where memories stand in the corners and the roller coaster of romance provides thrills both wanted and unwanted. It's the first of our Extended Play performances, so stay close - more are on their way, and each is set to have Tate share herself even further.

Thanks to this new generation of songwriters, folk-pop is having a big revival. Myles Smith figures to be a key part of the story. The UK singer’s breakout track “Stargazing” has been spinning alongside the Noah Kahans, Zach Bryans, and Kacey Musgraves of the world since it dropped in May. And why not? It’s got all the right ingredients: a stomp-clap foundation, anthemic “oohs,” and idealistic romance. No surprise this Coldplay and Labyrinth fan spent formative years playing pubs around Luton. It’s quite easy to picture him leading a bar crowd with his guitar if you’ve waded through his debut EP, ‘You Promised a Lifetime.’ Check the buoyant “My Home” and “Solo” if you want a stronger grasp on his Mumford-tinged lane. That project was, in part, the result of friends encouraging the sociology major to care less about making the most of his university degree and more about making music. When he doubled down on posting covers online, the response only multiplied. He once recalled Jared Leto posting one of his covers while he was in a Budapest bath house. When we chatted with him on his DSCVR shoot day, he wisely insisted that his craft isn’t tied to any specific genre. Instead, “it’s tied to a feeling,” he explained. “Group therapy, some of my fans call it.” Myles has and will spend a lot of 2024 on his Slightly Less Lonely Global Tour. Tons of the shows have already sold out. The world is really responding to that feeling, as he described it, and we were only happy to help capture it.
