Faro Portugal is the capital of the Algarve and is centrally located in the far southern region of Portugal. Faro is home to an international airport, bus, and train station and has access to one of the main hospitals in the area. This city is the hub for the entire region and an area you will most likely at least pass through when visiting the Algarve. We had traveled through Faro twice and until now never actually stopped to visit the city. So the big question - Faro Portugal is it worth visiting? In this video, we will take you through the old town, marina and shopping district, as well as head over by bus to Faro Island. We will share with you our final thoughts if we felt Faro would be on our list of places to see while visiting the Algarve. #portugal #travelportugal #algarveportugal

Faro is your main connection when flying into the Algarve as well if you are traveling by train to the far east or west end - you will change trains here. From here you can head east to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio or to the furthest train stop to the west, Lagos. If your goal is to be in a central location to be able to explore all of the Algarve, this may be the best place to stay!

When we went to Portugal,we visited Lisbon and then headed to the southern part of the country.Everytime we visit the southern part,we always stay in Algarve Region. Algarve Region is well known for it's beautiful beaches.I think some of the beaches are definitely one of those most beautiful in the world.Aside from it's crystal blue water and golden sand,there are also lots of cliffs and rock formations.

Praia do Castelo is a small beach in Albufeira with beautiful cliffs and coves.The view from the top of the cliff is breathtaking!

Praia dos Pescadores or Fisherman's beach is a beautiful beach in front of Albufeira's Old Town.It has also some cliffs and coves.

Praia da Batata is the beach near the city centre of Lagos.Just near the beach you will see a fortress, Forte Ponta da Bandeira.The beach has also some beautiful cliffs and coves.

The Fortaleza Sagres or Sagres Fortress is great place to see the panoramic view of the ocean.

Albufeira,Villamoura,Faro,Lagos and Sagres are the places you have to check out when visiting Algarve.Definitley worth a visit!

Quand nous sommes allés au Portugal, nous avons visité Lisbonne, puis nous nous sommes dirigés vers la partie sud du pays. À chaque fois que nous visitons la partie sud, nous restons toujours dans la région de l'Algarve. La région de l'Algarve est bien connue pour ses belles plages.Je pense que certaines des plages sont certainement l'une des plus belles du monde.En plus de son eau cristalline et de son sable doré, il y a aussi de nombreuses falaises et formations rocheuses.

Praia do Castelo est une petite plage à Albufeira avec de belles falaises et criques. La vue depuis le sommet de la falaise est à couper le souffle!

Praia dos Pescadores ou la plage du pêcheur est une belle plage en face de la vieille ville d'Albufeira.Il a également quelques falaises et criques.

Praia da Batata est la plage située près du centre-ville de Lagos. Juste à côté de la plage, vous verrez une forteresse, Forte Ponta da Bandeira.La plage possède également de belles falaises et des criques.

Fortaleza Sagres ou la forteresse de Sagres est l’endroit idéal pour admirer la vue panoramique sur l’océan.

Albufeira, Villamoura, Faro, Lagos et Sagres sont les endroits à ne pas manquer lors de votre visite à Algarve.Definitley vaut le détour!
