Today I invite you to a beautiful trip to Costa Blanca in Spain.

Costa Blanca means White Coast.
Costa Blanca is one of the main tourist centers of Spain. This is not surprising: the Costa Blanca holds the Spanish record for the number of Blue Flags, with 305 sunny days a year.
In addition to seaside recreation, cognitive, ecological, cultural, sports and event tourism is well developed on the coast.

What is the difference between the Costa Blanca and, for example, the Costa Dorada?
It is believed that the Costa Blanca is a little more democratic, a little cheaper, a little noisier and more free. This 200-kilometer zone along the coast is very popular with tourists from the UK, Germany and Scandinavia and from many other countries.

Costa Blanca belongs to Alicante. It starts in Dénia in the north and ends in Pilar de la Horadada in the south. In addition, there is an internal division of the region into northern (up to Alicante) and southern parts. In fact, the difference between them is not particularly great: light sandy beaches, excellent resort hotels, wonderful nature, secret grottoes in the coastline, golf courses, old villages are everywhere on the Costa Blanca.

One of the most beautiful villages in Spain

Frigiliana has belonged to this select club since January 2015. The Most Beautiful Towns in Spain encompasses those municipalities with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants that meet a series of essential requirements, among which are offering a quality natural or architectural heritage, in addition to other attractions and demands, such as urban homogeneity, harmony in the buildings and materials of the facades and roofs, in addition to other aspects such as the hotel, festive, leisure, cultural offer, etc.

Being part of The Most Beautiful Towns in Spain or having been chosen as one of the 7 rural wonders of Spain 2016, is nothing more than the consequence of the effort to improve the image and tourist offer of Frigiliana. If you still do not know us, we will be happy to welcome you.

The white village of Frigiliana is located just 7 km north of Nerja, in the Natural Park of the Sierras de Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama. The simplicity of its whitewashed houses that line its narrow streets make Frigiliana the ideal place to relax and break away from the daily routine.

In the Barribarto, as the historic center of the city is also called, you can notice the influence of the Moors who reigned over this village until the 16th century. The narrow streets that wind between white houses make Frigiliana one of the most unique and charming places in the La Axarquía region.

The Barribarto was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 2014, mainly due to the very good state of conservation of its historic center among the towns of the province of Malaga.

Frigiliana is a municipality in the province of Malaga in the autonomous community of Andalusia in Spain. Frigiliana belongs to the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain association.

Hiking in Andalusia, Spain, Europe. We traveled to Southern Spain on a road trip and hiked 8 of the best hiking trails in Andalusia (Andalucia). It is very diverse, and so is our list of the hiking trails — each one is the best in its own category and they showcase the wild and naked nature of the Spanish South. These hidden gems are spread out through all of Andalusia, starting from Almeria in the East to the National Park of Sierra Grazalema in the West. This video includes also some travel tips and where to park your car at the trailheads.

Two out of the eight trails require a reservation in advance:

— The Caminito del Rey trail which has also an entrance fee. Tickets can be purchased for guided group tours which costs 18 EUR, or a single visit without guide for 10 EUR. We preferred the unguided tour, but there's a daily limit of 10 tickets in this category, and our dates was fully booked already. So we had to buy the guided tour tickets, but we ended up without the group as you can see in the video.

— And the Garganta Verde trail which is for free but requires a permit that you can get by sending them an email to [email protected]. They have several trails, so include the following information in your email:

"I would like to apply for a permit for 2 persons:
Name: ...
Passport number: ...
How many people going on the walk: ...
Date: ...
Walk: La Garganta Verde"

One of the most beautiful villages in Spain

Frigiliana has belonged to this select club since January 2015. The Most Beautiful Towns in Spain encompasses those municipalities with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants that meet a series of essential requirements, among which are offering a quality natural or architectural heritage, in addition to other attractions and demands, such as urban homogeneity, harmony in the buildings and materials of the facades and roofs, in addition to other aspects such as the hotel, festive, leisure, cultural offer, etc.

Being part of The Most Beautiful Towns in Spain or having been chosen as one of the 7 rural wonders of Spain 2016, is nothing more than the consequence of the effort to improve the image and tourist offer of Frigiliana. If you still do not know us, we will be happy to welcome you.

The white village of Frigiliana is located just 7 km north of Nerja, in the Natural Park of the Sierras de Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama. The simplicity of its whitewashed houses that line its narrow streets make Frigiliana the ideal place to relax and break away from the daily routine.

In the Barribarto, as the historic center of the city is also called, you can notice the influence of the Moors who reigned over this village until the 16th century. The narrow streets that wind between white houses make Frigiliana one of the most unique and charming places in the La Axarquía region.

The Barribarto was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 2014, mainly due to the very good state of conservation of its historic center among the towns of the province of Malaga.

Frigiliana is a municipality in the province of Malaga in the autonomous community of Andalusia in Spain. Frigiliana belongs to the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain association.
