Why was Godot forked? Why was Redot created? What's #Wokot, and how did it lead to the mass banning of game developers and gamers?
In this video, we dive deep into the story behind the creation of #Redot, exploring the events that led us to fork #Godot and build a new, independent game development community. We discuss the controversies around Godot's exclusionary policies and the impact on the game development scene, and why Redot might be the perfect game engine for your next project.
If you’re a game developer, indie creator, or someone curious about open-source game engines, this video is for you!

Resources may be the most helpful tool in Godot. Dictionaries are great in the right circumstances but are often confused with resources. Many developers do understand how to use resources and dictionaries but don’t understand when one should be used over the other. So today I wanted to put together this tutorial with the goal of providing all the information you’ll need to make those decisions confidently within your own Godot projects!
I hope the video proves helpful and if you’ve got any questions at all then please let me know in the comments and I’ll be sure to get back to you shortly! Remember the only silly question is the one never asked!

These tutorials can be time consuming and as I work to become a better teacher and learn how to improve my explanation of Godot concepts better I'd love to ask if you'd like to help support this journey to help other game developers learn to create their own games then please.. become a member!! It would mean the world and you'll help me out more than you can imagine! Again thank you and I hope to see you next time!
have a great rest of your day, God Bless, and be safe! :D

Welcome to the second episode of our action/adventure game series! This is a beginner friendly series that will teach you the how to create your very own games by creating a 3D game inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!
In this episode we go over the syntax and basic rules of code by dissecting the player script we created last episode. This will give us a solid foundation we can use to move more quickly in the next set of episodes and see more of our Zelda-like game come to life!

Hello! This is a tutorial on how to make a isometric tilemap in Godot 4. Specifically, I show how to draw a basic tileset, set it up in Godot, create a basic isometric player controller, and finally how to auto generate collisions. Here's a link to the git repository containing the project's source code: https://github.com/DevPoodle/y....t-example-projects/t
If you want to download a premade isometric tileset, Kenney.nl has some good free options: https://kenney.nl/assets?search=isometric&sort=update.

2:59 Setting up the tilemap
5:30 Creating a basic top-down player
