Learn how to build a fully functional drag-and-drop grid system in Godot that actually connects to game logic! Most tutorials only show you how to move textures between controls. This video takes it further by:
✅ Creating reusable grid cells using Buttons (with hover/focus styles)
✅ Implementing drag previews and drop validation
✅ Connecting to external systems (inventories, puzzles) with signals
✅ Swapping data between cells cleanly with no spaghetti code
What other game mechanics or game algorithms would you like to see me replicate? Leave it in the comments!

HolyOS is my attempt at building a fake but functional '90s-style OS in Godot. I’ll show how I used Control nodes to create an instant messaging client, an email client, and a file explorer. I will also show the pipeline for the custom theme and animated cursor. To wrap up, I’ll discuss other quirks of making a fake OS feel real, as well as unresolved issues like drag-and-drop previews.
HolyOS is the fake operating system used in In Good Faith (Steam)

🌪️ Godot 4 NPCs vs Tornado Physics | Godot 4.4 Showcase Watch a short but chaotic demo of NPCs spawning around multiple tornados in Godot 4.4. This clip highlights projectile physics and the raw forces these tornados have on rigid bodies—including mine.
💥 Three tornado forces come working together:
- Upward lift: launching objects skyward
- Tangential swirl: spinning bodies around the axis if the tornado
- Inward pull: dragging everything toward the center (with a dead spot at center)
Perfect storm for testing dynamic interactions and physics-based gameplay. Built with real-time spawning and force application—no gimmicks, just Godot.
Still need to tweak the forces a bit.

The new revised Rts series is finally here, starting again from scratch, we will be building an Rts from the ground up using only Godot and Gdscript, our goal is to build a minimal viable product similar to a traditional Rts in 3D, we will be keeping it as simple as possible and building each feature as we move forward, the previous series are now deemed as experimental and this one will be the complete series, all tutorials will be updated to Godot 4.5+,
Different from the previous attempt, this series will have a much higher quality and continuity than the previous series, we will also be revising and refining some of the things we already developed in the previous series, all one step at a time, let's complete an Rts prototype!
Resource assets for the project will be for free on the google drive link (see channel community posts), and for members will be available the Godot source project,
Hello Godotneers! When you are creating game in Godot, it is often hard to decide how to structure all your nodes and scenes. Which nodes should go into which scene? Which nodes should talk to each other and when? This video explores ways in which you can create self-contained components in Godot and shows techniques that allow components to access other components and communicate with them while still keeping them usable independently.

Today I worked on the main menu for my game.
It has a parallax effect that follows your mouse movement to change the camera angle, which gives it a more dynamic and immersive feel. You can also zoom in and out of the scene, and it works perfectly across multiple monitors.
The menu includes a credits section that shows all the assets I’m using and their sources. There’s also an options menu where you can change settings like volume, resolution, VSync, and other graphics options.
Had a few small issues along the way, but I managed to fix them. I'm really happy with how it's coming together—more updates soon!
Much love, and thanks for checking this out! 💜

The Godot Foundation just released Godot Engine 4.4 and it may just be the single best release yet (at least in my humble opinion that is). Jam packed with new features like Jolt Physics support and Metal rendering on MacOS, as well as loaded with quality of life improvements like properties favourite pinning, real-time camera preview and much much more. In this video we go hands-on with the Godot 4.4 release and the best new features it contains.

In this tutorial you will learn the basics of 3D game development by creating a Breath of the Wild inspired game in Godot. We start by covering basic 3D objects and movements; then we cover animations and level building and, finally, we work on lights, shaders and particle effects to make the game look good.

Let's look at how to create a custom resource for a saved game in Godot. We'll accomplish this using a script, and then we can work on saving and loading the game data. This is a great method for software development.
Learn how to create custom StyleBox'es and let's make our very own stackable stylebox to craft some very interesting UI nodes.
